About the Competition

RAW Photo Awards is the first photography competition in Poland dedicated to obstacle course racing. We're looking for images that capture the raw emotions, dynamics, and spirit of OCR.

The competition is open to all photographers – amateurs and professionals alike. It doesn't matter what you shoot with: DSLR, mirrorless, smartphone, or drone. What matters is the photograph.

Entry is free.

Timeline

Submission periodJanuary 15 – January 31, 2026
Jury evaluation and finalist selectionFebruary 2026
Public votingFebruary 2026
Announcement of resultsMarch 2026

Exact dates for each stage will be published on the competition website.

Categories

The competition includes five categories. You can submit photos to one, several, or all of them.

1. The Warrior

Emotions written on the face. Pain, joy, determination, exhaustion. Close-ups and portraits of athletes during or just after battling the course.

2. Pure Action

Dynamics in its purest form. Frozen motion, battling obstacles, water, mud, fire. Images highlighting the extreme and dynamic nature of OCR.

3. Art & Grit (Creative)

This is where your artistic vision rules. Abstraction, detail, unusual perspective, play of light. Drone shots and formal experiments are welcome.

4. Helping Hand

Cooperation and mutual support – the essence of OCR spirit. Athletes helping each other on the course, at obstacles, overcoming challenges together. The spirit of teamwork and camaraderie.

5. Storytelling

A series of 3-6 photographs telling a coherent story. It can be the story of a single athlete, a team, a race, or an entire event. The images should form a narrative – with a beginning, development, and conclusion.
